KARISSA THORPE
Karissa has entertained audiences all over the world as a sketch comedian, improviser, stand-up comedian, inspirational speaker, and event host. She performs as a one woman act which combines her comedic characters, improvisational audience interaction, stand-up comedy, and motivating stories.
Growing up as a pastor’s kid has made Karissa Thorpe see life with a sense of humor. She uses her family and life experiences in her stand-up comedy, and she also appears as different characters performing sketch comedy.
She has had the opportunity to perform at the Chicago Improv Festival and San Francisco Comedy Festival, and before moving to North Carolina in 2012, she performed regularly at Dallas Comedy House in Texas. For her full time job, Karissa serves as the Director of Guidance at HOPE Academy in Concord, North Carolina.
